New law outlaws of basically happy meals

But Tuesday's San Francisco passed new legislation, not like pancakes, at least not for local fast-food restaurants.
"Kid's meals" can no longer be sold with toys, unless you meet specific nutritional standards;Standards that can threaten McDonald's happy meals.
On Tuesday with a veto-proof vote from 8 to 3, San Francisco officials adopted a law that it would allow restaurants to give away toys with kid's meals, only if the meals have less than 600 calories, fruits and vegetables contain and drinks without excessive fat and sugar enthalten.Das law takes effect December 1, 2011.
The first thing that comes to mind is McDonald's happy meals. Since 1979, when happy meals were first introduced, meal, has used McDonald's children specifically free toys to directly market for children.

Backyard chicken coops: good idea or not?
The issue of whether or not urban centers should allow backyard chicken coops has sparked an ongoing debate in my neck of the woods (insert "crying foul" joke here).
Vancouver city council recently amended an animal control bylaw, making it legal to keep chickens on many more residential properties. Residents who own land of less than an acre are allowed up to 4 hens in their backyards.
Other urban areas in the US have already approved such a by-law including New York, Seattle and Portland.
Here are some of the stipulations that come with owning chickens;
Coops must be between four square feet and ten square feet in size, and cannot be kept in front yards or on apartment or condominium balconies. Other fowl such as roosters, ducks and turkeys are not allowed, and eggs produced by the hens cannot be sold commercially.When hens reach the end of their lifespan of up to six years, they cannot be killed by the owner, but must be taken to a slaughterhouse or veterinarian for slaughter or euthanasia.Urban sustainability: fresh, locally grown eggs can reduce carbon footprint. Good for communities and families as an educational tool. Instil discipline in children. Noise: backyard chickens can produce noise and in smaller quarters neighbors may not appreciate it.Odour: (yes I'm going to use another "foul" joke). Disease: we had a run of avian flu a few years back and the little critters can spread disease. So this lady gets in line behind me and whining on your mobile phone is not even a regular one it was one of these pseudo intelligence ear pieces, for people, the wild themselves are important. "Red Team go!" "Red Team go!"
I was ignoring her until she said "I just pick up lunch for children."There is nothing wrong with that, until I realized what you accumulate on the conveyor belt was: sliced white bread, packaged nonsense - not even the fresh Stuff-and a bag of marshmallows.Wow, big dad fail!
Listen I'm not a parent. I want no children. I don't like even children. But how you can get a piece of rubbish from white bread to call a meal for a child beat fit? the answer is, you don't.
I would not even know what you on the sandwich expresses the marshmallows for waren. If, need to be notified to child protective services.
Their children will probably grow and are some of these annoying people who eat still only three things and to try new foods pout at 35 years old.

21 Pounds in 21 Days Sensation (Martha’s Vineyard Diet)
Well well, what do you know. We have another “detox” diet sensation on our hands. This time the claims to the fast weight loss are pretty staggering – 1 pound for every one day you are on the diet, hence the name “21 Pounds in 21 Days” given to this detoxification-based diet. It might as well be called out for what it is, which is an all liquid diet. It’s easy to drop weight very quickly on all liquid diets, as most people who’ve been on them can attest.
The problem is, you never really feel satisfied, and often times the claim that after three days you won’t need or want solid foods is true, but it’s because your body’s survival mechanisms are kicking in, making you feel a bit euphoric and introspective and peaceful, as a mechanism to protect the mind against starvation, which is essentially what you are doing to your body when you go on extreme “detox” diets like this. In case you can’t tell, I’m not really keen on these types of extreme diets where you aren’t really getting a whole lot of substance for days on end.
21 Pounds in 21 Days is a diet where you essentially are eating all liquids, a lot of pureed veggies and other types of detox drinks, but you are also taking in protein, which I suppose is a good part to the diet as opposed to other liquid diets like the infamous Master Cleanse, which is merely a concoction of maple syrup, cayenne pepper and lemon to keep your blood sugar up.
It also requires a coffee enema and taking various digestive enzymes with the diet. You get a kit to do the diet, so I’m assuming that some of these products come with that kit. You are supposed to lose one pound every day, and the diet is designed by people who should know what they’re doing – one’s a naturopath and the other is a registered nurse and colonic therapist (I’m assuming this means she administers colonics).
The detox products offered on their site include berry and veggie drinks that are supposed to help you maintain your results, and boy are they highly priced, but hey, if they work and they make you feel healthy and more importantly satiated and content as a natural weight loss remedy, then I guess that’s your prerogative.

Low Fat Green Beans Amandine
So I wanted to make a lighter version of green beans amandine, which is a green bean dish with a lemony butter sauce which is delicious when it is made with oodles of real butter of course. Only problem as we all know, is that real dairy butter is loaded with fat and is calorie dense at about 100c calories per tablespoon. And believe me, I love butter.
It’s something that I don’t skimp on when I’m cooking for the holidays or company, when “calories don’t matter” as much. However, when I’m watching what I’m eating, which is what usually happens, I really try to cut the fat down. LandoLakes makes a good sweet cream whipped butter spread that has a buttery and sweet taste, but only about 60% of the calories and fat of regular ol’ delicious butter.
It makes a great melted topping, however, it’s pretty hard to butter toast with unless it’s melted a bit, so it makes the perfect way to make a butter sauce a lower fat version. You may add a bit of sea salt to it to make it even more flavorful as well. I like to take whole, tender green beans.
Preferably fresh, but Hanover Farms makes a great whole green bean which is pretty tender and tasty when cooked. I used htat in this last recipe, and they turned out pretty good. You will also need the following ingredients to make this lighter, low fat version of green beans amandine, a traditional favorite from fancy restaurants to mom and pop grills and buffets.
You’ll need slivered almonds, about one whole lemon (a small one will do), sea salt, garlic seasoning or 3 garlic cloves crushed, pepper, and onion salt. I like to steam my green beans. Some recipes call for boiling, but I don’t like boiling most veggies as this can take some of the nutrients and vitamins out of them, and they also can get waterlogged and soggy.
I steamed my green beans for about 15 minutes, or until they are tender-crisp. While the green beans were steaming, I put about 4 tablespoons of the light butter, 3 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice, a dash of garlic seasoning or the crushed garlic cloves, a dash of onion salt, and a dash of sea salt in a small simmer pot. I melt the butter and let the lemony butter sauce sit and soak the flavors in together a bit.
Once the green beans are done steaming, I take the delicate lemon butter sauce off the burner, and I pour it over the green beans evenly. Add 4 tablsepoons of slivered almnods and voila, you’ve got a nice, low fat, delicate side dish that’s fit for a barbecue or a nice dinner party!

It seems counterintuitive, but those who drink soda much nutritional actually may be more prone to weight gain than those who do not. Now, I frowned at this, because I personally like to drink the occasional diet soda, and I am not overweight. I have several friends who are also overweight, that like to drink soda, if you drink pop and are diet either overweight.
So, common sense tells me that this isn't true . But also shows that by drinking artificially sweetened soda actually can stimulate cravings throughout the day the appetite and sugar.
It can make you feel full and most tired first because there are the sweet taste crave without the calories, and because the carbon dioxide helps to fill the stomach, but the hours you continue, you can experience actually a bigger appetite and ask for more after sugar and carbohydrates food loaded.
Now, I must admit that I still drink diet soda even when I’m eating a “bad” meal, like something from McDonald’s, or pizza, but that’s just because I actually prefer the less sweet taste and syrupy consistency of diet soda over regular soda, which tends to be a bit too sweet for me. So, it looks like I’m being a hypocrite by consuming diet soda but cramming a cheeseburger and fries down my throat, but really it’s an aquired taste for me at this point.
It has long been a theory that by drinking actually your brain to more food tendons can cause artificially sweetened soft drinks, and many dieticians advise people watching your weight to much diet soda drink sind.Aber really, this is the case, then other diet foods such as diet Jello, often recommended to saturate the sweet tooth if diet, should not be consumed if either.
It's hard to say what is better if you sweet and require carbonated drink, but I think that a diet is here and there to drink soda not gonna me kill. I'm not trying to eat a lot of sweetener because I believe that it is not good for you, but I still, to the occasional indulgence of one of my favorite diet drinks give diet Coke, which, if set me to wondering you an addictive making chemical, because when you get to ask which is nothing else will do to satisfy that craving!
